Spotlight on the Humanities: Climate Change

Wednesday, February 8 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Spotlight on the Humanities:  Timothy Powell on “What Native American Spirituality Can Teach Us about Working on Climate Change:

Princeton Public Library, Community Room, 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton. As it becomes clearer that climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our age, environmental studies scholars have been working more closely with Indigenous communities to understand how they stewarded

the land before European contact.    Timothy Powell, a religious studies

scholar at the Univ. of Pennsylvania, will discuss his work with Ojibwe Indian communities in northern Canada to explore Native people’s knowledge of maintaining the environment.  Presented with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.  For more information, go to:
